A New Chapter Begins: Celebrating the Grand Opening of AcuClinic Cyprus

There are some days that stay with you for a very long time, and Today was one of those days.

After months of planning, preparation, moving from Sweden to Cyprus and building our vision for a new clinic, we finally opened the doors of AcuClinic Cyprus Ltd in Paralimni for our Grand Opening Celebration. And what a wonderful afternoon it was.

A Warm Welcome to AcuClinic Cyprus

From the moment our first guests arrived, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed and filled with genuine curiosity.

Friends, local residents, fellow practitioners, new clients and members of the community came to celebrate this important milestone with us.

We welcomed everyone with refreshments, champagne and a selection of small treats, but most importantly, we had the opportunity to meet people face-to-face, introduce AcuClinic Cyprus and share our passion for acupuncture and complementary wellbeing.

There were smiles, conversations, questions and many kind words of encouragement throughout the afternoon. For us, it was incredibly special to see the clinic filled with people after spending so much time preparing everything behind the scenes.

Discovering Acupuncture for the First Time

One of the highlights of the afternoon was giving our guests the opportunity to experience introductory acupuncture sessions. Almost everyone who wanted to try acupuncture had the opportunity to experience it for themselves.

For some guests, this was their very first encounter with acupuncture. There was a lot of curiosity beforehand — and quite a few people were understandably unsure about what they would feel.

Then came the surprise.

Several guests were genuinely amazed by the changes they experienced during their introductory sessions. Some noticed differences in movement, tension or the way their bodies felt. Others were simply surprised by how subtle the treatment itself could be.

Seeing people's reactions was one of the most rewarding parts of the afternoon. It was a wonderful reminder that sometimes the best way to understand acupuncture is simply to experience it. Of course, one person's experience during an introductory session cannot predict how another person will respond to treatment. Acupuncture is individual, and every person's body and circumstances are different. But watching our guests become curious about something they may previously have known very little about was truly special.

More Than Just an Opening

Today was not simply about opening a new business. It was about beginning to build a community around AcuClinic Cyprus.

We have always wanted the clinic to be more than a place where people come for an appointment, receive a treatment and leave. We want it to be a welcoming space where people can ask questions, discover different approaches to wellbeing and feel comfortable talking about their health.

Our vision combines the traditional principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a modern, personal and Scandinavian-influenced approach to professional care. And today, for the first time, we were able to share that vision with the local community in person.

A New Home in Paralimni

Opening AcuClinic Cyprus in Paralimni is particularly meaningful to us. Our clinic is located in the heart of the Famagusta region and is easily accessible to people from Protaras, Kapparis, Ayia Napa, Sotira, Deryneia and the surrounding communities.

We hope that AcuClinic Cyprus will gradually become a familiar and trusted name for people looking for acupuncture and complementary wellbeing in Eastern Cyprus.

Whether someone comes to us because of pain, muscular tension, sports recovery, stress, women's health, relaxation or simply curiosity about acupuncture, our intention remains the same: To listen first, understand the individual and provide thoughtful, personalised care.

The Beginning of Something New

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. The Grand Opening may be over, the champagne glasses may be empty and the guests may have gone home, but this is where the real journey begins.

From 24 August, our regular bookings will open, and we look forward to welcoming our first clients for individual treatments at AcuClinic Cyprus. We will continue developing the clinic, meeting people in our local community, building relationships with other professionals and sharing our knowledge of acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine and complementary wellbeing.

There is still so much to learn, build and discover. And we are excited for what lies ahead.

From Sweden to Cyprus

For me personally, today's opening carries an even deeper meaning. After many years of practising acupuncture in Sweden, moving to Cyprus and starting again has been a significant step.

AcuClinic Cyprus represents the next chapter of that journey. Standing in the clinic today and watching people experience acupuncture for the first time was a wonderful reminder of why I chose this profession in the first place.

Helping people discover something new, seeing their curiosity and having meaningful conversations about health and wellbeing — these are the moments that make the journey worthwhile. And now that journey continues here in Cyprus.
