A Little Angel Finds Its Place at AcuClinic Cyprus

A Small Gift, A Meaningful Place, and a Reminder of Where It All Began

Some gifts are more than gifts. They carry memories, emotions and the stories of the people who gave them.

A little while ago, I shared the story of a small wooden angel that I received from my patients in Sweden when I closed my clinic and began a new chapter here in Cyprus. The handwritten message on the angel simply said:

“Thank you for all the ‘sticks’ & good luck to Cyprus.”

It was a simple and wonderfully personal message — but the little angel came to represent something much bigger to me. It represents the many people I had the privilege of meeting and treating during my years as an acupuncturist in Sweden. It reminds me of the conversations, the trust, the laughter, the difficult days and, most importantly, the people behind every treatment.

Now the Angel Has Arrived in Cyprus

When I first received the angel, I knew that I wanted to bring it with me to Cyprus. But I didn't want to simply put it somewhere in my office where only I would see it. I wanted it to become part of AcuClinic Cyprus.

So the little angel has now found its permanent place in our Community Style Acupuncture room. This is the room where people come together for our Community Style Acupuncture sessions — a space designed to be welcoming, relaxed and accessible to everyone. And now, hanging among the plants, the little angel has a place where every visitor can see it.

A Small Reminder of a Big Journey

Every time I see it, I am reminded that although I have moved from Sweden to Cyprus, the journey didn't really end — it simply continued in a new place.

The people I treated in Sweden will always be part of my professional journey. The knowledge, experience and relationships I gained there have travelled with me to Cyprus and are now part of what I hope to build here at AcuClinic Cyprus.

The little angel is therefore not just a decoration. For me, it is a reminder of trust, gratitude and connection. And perhaps there is something rather fitting about having it in the Community Style Acupuncture room. Community acupuncture is, after all, about people coming together in a shared space — each person with their own story, their own experiences and their own reasons for being there.

From Sweden to Cyprus

Starting AcuClinic Cyprus has been an exciting new chapter, but it has also made me reflect on everything that came before it.

A clinic is never simply a room, treatment table or collection of acupuncture needles. It is built around people. People who choose to trust you, who share their concerns and experiences.

People who allow you to be part of their journey. That is something I have learned throughout my years of practice, and it is something I want to carry forward here in Cyprus.

The little angel will now quietly watch over the Community Style Acupuncture room as new people walk through the doors. Perhaps, in a small way, it connects two chapters of my life — the patients and experiences I left behind in Sweden and the new people I have yet to meet here in Cyprus.

A Place for Everyone

If you visit AcuClinic Cyprus for Community Style Acupuncture, take a look around the room. You might notice a little wooden angel hanging among the plants.

Now you know the story behind it ❤️

And perhaps it will remind you, as it reminds me, that behind every treatment there is a human connection. From Sweden, with gratitude. Now part of AcuClinic Cyprus 🌿
